The handle make the bottle more useful and easier to handle on the move. Not sure why it’s an add-on

The predecessor to this 2025 Dash Handle product was much better in basically the only 2 ways that matter.
The prior no-look grab loop:
1- Stayed locked in place once you tightly screw closed the lid on your bottle! As a both crit and endurance athlete who reaches for water multiple times an hour over multiple hours I need to keep focus on the road ahead instead of constantly looking down or fumbling about wondering whether the handle slid to the left, the right, or bouncing somewhere in between. This means the difference between winning and losing, getting dropped or not. It's hard enough finding a few seconds to hydrate or eat on long haul or short events and this added frustration makes this add-on near worthless, but I'll give a 2/5 as at least the handle does still work as (poorly) designed.
2- It also had a larger opening, meaning you'll have a better chance of grabbing the bottle the first time even if you have bigger fingers. Or if you attach your bottle to a bag or something else with this handle, you have more to work with.
I've been using Polar Bottles for over a decade and love them, and hate seeing what looks like HydraPak now trying to phase great products out, or consolidate with what some might incorrectly think are redundant to items HydraPak was already producing. The 2025 Dash Handle product is unfortunately inferior!
